Cartoon Network calls the girls back into action based on overwhelming demand for sugar, spice, everything nice and a dash of Chemical X. First announced in 2014, The Powerpuff Girls finally return to our screens in a brand new series launching in the UK on 25th April at 6:30pm

The launch will be supported by a 360° off-air marketing campaign spanning 5 weeks to launch.

The new series finds the three girls in the familiar city of Townsville. It may be a beautiful, bustling metropolis, but don’t be fooled: there’s evil afoot! And only three things can keep the bad guys at bay: Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, three super-powered little girls, known to their fans (and villains everywhere) as The Powerpuff Girls. Juggling the lives of everyday kids with wrestling giant monsters may be daunting, but together The Powerpuff Girls are up to the task of saving the world.

The Powerpuff Girls was created by Craig McCracken and debuted in 1998 and it is one of Cartoon Network’s most enduring original series. The show earned two Emmy® Awards along with five nominations, as well as countless animation honours.

The Powerpuff Girls is one of the top-grossing Cartoon Network brands of all time, with more than $2.5 billion in retail sales generated since its debut, and has endured as a global fashion brand with a range of apparel partners and fashion collections around the world.

In September 2015, a Powerpuff – Moschino fashion range was launched.
